حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عَجْلَانَ وَقُرِئَ عَلَى سُفْيَانَ عَنْ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ كَانَ يَقُولُ فَقَالَ سُفْيَانُ هُوَ هَكَذَا يَعْنِي النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا وَضَعَ جَنْبَهُ يَقُولُ بِاسْمِكَ رَبِّي وَضَعْتُ جَنْبِي فَإِنْ أَمْسَكْتَ نَفْسِي فَارْحَمْهَا وَإِنْ أَرْسَلْتَهَا فَاحْفَظْهَا بِمَا تَحْفَظُ بِهِ عِبَادَكَ الصَّالِحِينَ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: 'If the people knew what is in the call to prayer and the first row, and they found no other way to get it except by drawing lots, they would draw lots for it. If they knew what is in going early to prayer, they would race to it. If they knew what is in Isha and Fajr prayers, they would come to them even if they had to crawl.'
