حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ عَنِ الْعَلَاءِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ أَبِي وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ الْعَلَاءَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَا نَقَصَتْ صَدَقَةٌ مِنْ مَالٍ وَلَا عَفَا رَجُلٌ عَنْ مَظْلَمَةٍ إِلَّا زَادَهُ اللَّهُ عِزًّا وَلَا تَوَاضَعَ.

Ibn Abi Adi told us, from Shu'bah, from al-Ala', from his father, from Abu Hurayrah, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said - my father and Muhammad ibn Ja'far said: Shu'bah told us, he said: I heard al-Ala', from his father, from Abu Hurayrah, from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him - "Charity does not decrease wealth, and a man does not forgive a wrong but Allah increases him in honor, and no one humbles himself..."
