Affan told us: Yazid ibn Zuray' told me: Habib al-Mu'allim told us, from Amr ibn Shu'ayb, from his father, from his grandfather, that a Bedouin came to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and said, "I have wealth and a father, and my father wants to deplete my wealth." He said, "You and your wealth belong to your father. Indeed, your children are among the best of your earnings, so eat from the earnings of your children." Abu Abd al-Rahman said: It has reached me that Habib al-Mu'allim is called Habib ibn Abi Baqiyya.
