حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ فَيَّاضٍ عَنْ أَبِي عِيَاضٍ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عَمْرٍو يَقُولُ قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صُمْ يَوْمًا وَلَكَ أَجْرُ مَا بَقِيَ حَتَّى عَدَّ أَرْبَعَةَ أَيَّامٍ أَوْ خَمْسَةً شُعْبَةُ يَشُكُّ قَالَ صُمْ أَفْضَلَ الصَّوْمِ صَوْمَ دَاوُدَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَام كَانَ يَصُومُ يَوْمًا وَيُفْطِرُ يَوْمًا.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Rawh narrated to us: Shu'bah narrated from Ziyad ibn Fayyad from Abu Iyad, I heard Abdullah ibn Amr saying: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said to me: "Fast one day and you will have the reward of what remains" - until he counted four or five days (Shu'bah was uncertain). He said: "Fast the best of fasting - the fast of Dawud (David) - fast one day and break your fast one day."
