قَالَ وَسَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ خَلَقَ خَلْقَهُ ثُمَّ جَعَلَهُمْ فِي ظُلْمَةٍ ثُمَّ أَخَذَ مِنْ نُورِهِ مَا شَاءَ فَأَلْقَاهُ عَلَيْهِمْ فَأَصَابَ النُّورُ مَنْ شَاءَ أَنْ يُصِيبَهُ وَأَخْطَأَ مَنْ شَاءَ فَمَنْ أَصَابَهُ النُّورُ يَوْمَئِذٍ فَقَدْ اهْتَدَى وَمَنْ أَخْطَأَ يَوْمَئِذٍ ضَلَّ فَلِذَلِكَ قُلْتُ جَفَّ الْقَلَمُ بِمَا هُوَ كَائِنٌ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
He said: And I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) saying: "Indeed Allah created His creation, then placed them in darkness. Then He took from His Light as He willed and cast it upon them. The Light struck whomever He willed it to strike and missed whomever He willed. Whoever the Light struck that day was rightly guided, and whoever it missed that day went astray. Therefore I say: The Pen has dried with what is to be."
