حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ أَخْبَرَنَا هِشَامٌ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يَقْبِضُ الْعِلْمَ انْتِزَاعًا يَنْزِعُهُ مِنْ النَّاسِ وَلَكِنْ يَقْبِضُ الْعِلْمَ بِقَبْضِ الْعُلَمَاءِ حَتَّى إِذَا لَمْ يُبْقِ عَالِمًا اتَّخَذَ النَّاسُ رُؤَسَاءَ جُهَّالًا فَسُئِلُوا فَأَفْتَوْا بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ فَضَلُّوا وَأَضَلُّوا حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ أَمْلَى عَلَيَّ هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ مِنْ فِيهِ إِلَى فِيَّ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Waki' narrated to us: Hisham informed us from his father from Abdullah ibn Amr who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "Indeed Allah does not take away knowledge by snatching it from the people, but He takes away knowledge by taking away the scholars, until when no scholar remains, the people take ignorant leaders who are asked and give rulings without knowledge, so they go astray and lead others astray." Yahya ibn Sa'id narrated to us saying: Hisham ibn Urwah dictated to me, my father narrated to me saying: I heard Abdullah ibn Amr ibn al-As from his mouth to mine saying: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said - and he mentioned the same.
