الترجمة الإنجليزية
Abu Dawud narrated to us: Shu'bah informed us from Mansur from Abu Wa'il from Abdullah who said: We used to say: Peace be upon Allah (in the tashahhud). The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: Do not say: Peace be upon Allah. For indeed Allah is al-Salam (the Source of Peace). Rather say: All compliments, prayers and good things are due to Allah. Peace be upon you, O Prophet, and the mercy of Allah and His blessings. Peace be upon us and upon the righteous servants of Allah — when you say that, it reaches every righteous servant in the heavens and the earth — I bear witness that there is no god but Allah and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and messenger. Then choose the supplication that is most pleasing to you and call upon Allah with it.
