He said: I read to Abd al-Rahman: Malik, from Muhammad ibn Amr ibn Halhalah al-Dili, from Muhammad ibn Imran al-Ansari, from his father, who said: Abdullah ibn Umar turned aside to me while I was camped beneath a lote-tree on the road to Mecca, and he said: "What made you camp beneath this tree?" I said: "I wanted its shade." He said: "Was there anything else?" I said: "No, nothing else made me camp here." Abdullah ibn Umar said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "When you are between the two mountains of Mina" - and he gestured with his hand toward the east - "there is a valley there called al-Surar, in which there is a tree beneath which seventy prophets were made joyful."
