Yazid ibn Harun told us: Abd al-Malik informed us, from Anas ibn Sirin, who said: I was with Ibn Umar at Arafat. When it was time to proceed, I proceeded with him until he came to the leader (imam) and prayed with him the noon and afternoon prayers, then stood with him, along with some companions of mine, until the leader moved on, and we moved on with him, until we reached the narrow pass short of al-Ma'zimayn. He made his mount kneel, and we made ours kneel, thinking he wished to pray. But his servant, who was holding his mount, said: 'He does not intend to pray, but he recalled that when the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, reached this place, he relieved himself, so he likes to relieve himself here too.'
