حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي عَنْ صَالِحٍ قَالَ ابْنُ شِهَابٍ حَدَّثَنِي حَمْزَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَيْنَا أَنَا نَائِمٌ أُتِيتُ بِقَدَحِ لَبَنٍ فَشَرِبْتُ مِنْهُ حَتَّى إِنِّي لَأَرَى الرِّيَّ يَخْرُجُ مِنْ أَطْرَافِي فَأَعْطَيْتُ فَضْلِي عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ فَقَالَ مَنْ حَوْلَهُ فَمَا أَوَّلْتَ ذَلِكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ الْعِلْمَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ سَالِمٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُحَدِّثُ بَيْنَمَا أَنَا نَائِمٌ رَأَيْتُنِي أُتِيتُ بِقَدَحٍ فَذَكَرَهُ.

Ya'qub told us: My father told us, from Salih, that Ibn Shihab said: Hamzah ibn Abdullah ibn Umar told me that he heard Abdullah ibn Umar say: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: 'While I was asleep, I was brought a bowl of milk and I drank from it until I could see the satisfaction coming out from my limbs. Then I gave what remained of it to Umar ibn al-Khattab.' Those around him said, 'How did you interpret that, O Messenger of Allah?' He said, 'Knowledge.' Abd al-Razzaq told us: Ma'mar informed us, from al-Zuhri, from Salim, from his father, who said: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, used to relate: 'While I was asleep, I saw myself brought a bowl' - and he mentioned it.
