قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ حَدَّثَنِي مُوسَى بْنُ عُقْبَةَ أَخْبَرَنِي سَالِمٌ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ لَقِيَ زَيْدَ بْنَ عَمْرِو بْنِ نُفَيْلٍ بِأَسْفَلِ بَلْدَحَ وَذَلِكَ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَنْزِلَ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْوَحْيُ فَقَدَّمَ إِلَيْهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سُفْرَةً فِيهَا لَحْمٌ فَأَبَى أَنْ يَأْكُلَ مِنْهَا وَقَالَ إِنِّي لَا آكُلُ مِمَّا تَذْبَحُونَ عَلَى أَنْصَابِكُمْ وَلَا آكُلُ إِلَّا مَا ذُكِرَ اسْمُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ وَحَدَّثَ هَذَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
He said: Affan told us: Wuhayb told us: Musa ibn Uqbah told me: Salim informed me that he heard Abdullah relate from the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, that he met Zayd ibn Amr ibn Nufayl at the lower part of Baldah, and that was before revelation had come down upon the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, offered him a tray with meat on it, but he refused to eat from it and said: 'I do not eat what you slaughter upon your idols, and I eat only that over which the name of Allah has been mentioned.' Abdullah related this from the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him.
