حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ يَسَارٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ قَيْسِ بْنِ مَخْرَمَةَ قَالَ أَقْبَلْتُ مِنْ مَسْجِدِ بَنِي عَمْرِو بْنِ عَوْفٍ بِقُبَاءَ عَلَى بَغْلَةٍ لِي قَدْ صَلَّيْتُ فِيهِ فَلَقِيتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ مَاشِيًا فَلَمَّا رَأَيْتُهُ نَزَلْتُ عَنْ بَغْلَتِي ثُمَّ قُلْتُ ارْكَبْ أَيْ عَمِّ قَالَ أَيْ ابْنَ أَخِي لَوْ أَرَدْتُ أَنْ أَرْكَبَ الدَّوَابَّ لَرَكِبْتُ وَلَكِنِّي رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَمْشِي إِلَى هَذَا الْمَسْجِدِ حَتَّى يَأْتِيَ فَيُصَلِّيَ فِيهِ فَأَنَا أُحِبُّ أَنْ أَمْشِيَ إِلَيْهِ كَمَا رَأَيْتُهُ يَمْشِي قَالَ فَأَبَى أَنْ يَرْكَبَ وَمَضَى عَلَى وَجْهِهِ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Ya'qub told us, my father told me, from Ibn Ishaq, my father Ishaq b. Yasar told me, from Abdullah b. Qays b. Makhramah, who said: I came from the mosque of Banu Amr b. Awf at Quba' riding my mule, having prayed there, and I met Abdullah b. Umar walking. When I saw him, I dismounted from my mule and said: "Ride, uncle." He said: "O son of my brother, if I wanted to ride animals I would ride, but I saw the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, walk to this mosque until he arrived and prayed in it, so I love to walk to it just as I saw him walk." He said: So he refused to ride and continued on his way.
