حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ بَحْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا صَالِحُ بْنُ قُدَامَةَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ حَاطِبٍ الْجُمَحِيُّ أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ دِينَارٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَنْ كَانَ حَالِفًا فَلَا يَحْلِفْ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ وَكَانَتْ قُرَيْشٌ تَحْلِفُ بِآبَائِهَا قَالَ فَلَا تَحْلِفُوا بِآبَائِكُمْ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
'Ali ibn Bahr told us: Salih ibn Qudamah ibn Ibrahim ibn Muhammad ibn Hatib al-Jumahi Abu Muhammad told us: 'Abdullah ibn Dinar told me, from Ibn 'Umar, from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, who said: "Whoever is to swear an oath, let him swear only by Allah." And Quraysh used to swear by their fathers, so he said, "Do not swear by your fathers."
