حَدَّثَنَا عَتَّابٌ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ أَخْبَرَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ عُقْبَةَ عَنْ سَالِمٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ حَلَفَ بِغَيْرِ اللَّهِ فَقَالَ فِيهِ قَوْلًا شَدِيدًا قَالَ وَأَخْبَرَنَا سَالِمٌ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ أَكْثَرُ مَا كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَحْلِفُ بِهَذِهِ الْيَمِينِ يَقُولُ لَا وَمُقَلِّبِ الْقُلُوبِ.

Attab narrated to us: Abdullah narrated to us: Musa ibn Uqbah informed us, from Salim, from Abdullah ibn Umar, who said: The Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever swears by other than God..." and he spoke sternly about it. He said: And Salim informed us, from Abdullah ibn Umar, who said: The most the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, used to swear by was this oath: he would say, "No, by the One who turns the hearts."
