حَدَّثَنَا مُؤَمَّلٌ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَلْقَمَةَ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ أَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ تُعْفَى اللِّحَى وَأَنْ تُجَزَّ الشَّوَارِبُ و قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَلْقَمَةَ.

Mu'ammal told us, Sufyan told us, from Abd ar-Rahman ibn Alqamah: I heard Ibn Umar say: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, commanded that beards be let grow and that moustaches be trimmed. And Abdullah ibn al-Walid said: Sufyan told us, Abd ar-Rahman ibn Alqamah told us.
