حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سُرَاقَةَ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ عَنْ بَيْعِ الثِّمَارِ فَقَالَ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ بَيْعِ الثِّمَارِ حَتَّى تَذْهَبَ الْعَاهَةُ قُلْتُ وَمَتَى ذَاكَ قَالَ حَتَّى تَطْلُعَ الثُّرَيَّا.

Muhammad ibn Abdullah told us, Ibn Abi Dhi'b told us, from Uthman ibn Abdullah ibn Suraqah, who said: I asked Ibn Umar about the sale of fruit. He said, "The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade the sale of fruit until the blight has passed." I said, "When is that?" He said, "Until the Pleiades rise."
