Abdah ibn Sulayman Abu Muhammad al-Kilabi told us: Hisham told us, from his father, from Ibn Umar, that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, stood at the well of Badr and said: 'Have you found what your Lord promised you to be true?' Then he said: 'They indeed hear what I say.' That was mentioned to Aishah, and she said: 'He was mistaken' — meaning Ibn Umar — 'the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, only said: They now know that what I used to tell them was indeed the truth.'
