حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ عَنِ الْعُمَرِيِّ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى عَنْ الْوِصَالِ فِي الصِّيَامِ فَقِيلَ لَهُ إِنَّكَ تَفْعَلُهُ فَقَالَ إِنِّي لَسْتُ كَأَحَدِكُمْ إِنِّي أَظَلُّ يُطْعِمُنِي رَبِّي وَيَسْقِينِي.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Waki' narrated to us, from al-'Umari, from Nafi', from Ibn 'Umar, that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade continuous fasting. It was said to him, "But you do it," so he said: "I am not like any of you; I remain through the night, my Lord feeding me and giving me drink."
