حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ يَعْنِي الْغَطَفَانِيَّ أَخْبَرَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ الْقَزَعِ وَالْقَزَعُ أَنْ يُحْلَقَ الصَّبِيُّ فَيُتْرَكَ بَعْضُ شَعَرِهِ.

Uthman ibn Uthman - namely al-Ghatafani - informed us, Umar ibn Nafi' told us, from his father, from Ibn Umar, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade al-qaza', and al-qaza' is that a boy's head be shaved leaving part of his hair.
