حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ الْأَسْوَدِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ كُنَّا مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي غَارٍ وَقَدْ أُنْزِلَتْ عَلَيْهِ وَالْمُرْسَلَاتِ عُرْفًا قَالَ فَنَحْنُ نَأْخُذُهَا مِنْ فِيهِ رَطْبَةً إِذْ خَرَجَتْ عَلَيْنَا حَيَّةٌ فَقَالَ اقْتُلُوهَا قَالَ فَابْتَدَرْنَاهَا لِنَقْتُلَهَا فَسَبَقَتْنَا فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَقَاهَا اللَّهُ شَرَّكُمْ كَمَا وَقَاكُمْ شَرَّهَا.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: 'Avoid sitting on the roads.' They said: 'O Messenger of Allah, we cannot help but sit there; they are where we hold our conversations.' He said: 'If you must sit, then give the road its right.' They said: 'What is the right of the road?' He said: 'Lowering the gaze, refraining from causing harm, returning the greeting of salam, commanding what is right, and forbidding what is wrong.'
