حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ حَدَّثَنَا مَنْصُورٌ عَنْ شَقِيقٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ كُنَّا إِذَا صَلَّيْنَا خَلْفَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ الرَّجُلُ مِنَّا فِي صَلَاتِهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَى اللَّهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَى فُلَانٍ يَخُصُّ فَقَالَ لَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ هُوَ السَّلَامُ فَإِذَا قَعَدَ أَحَدُكُمْ فِي صَلَاتِهِ فَلْيَقُلْ التَّحِيَّاتُ لِلَّهِ وَالصَّلَوَاتُ وَالطَّيِّبَاتُ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْنَا وَعَلَى عِبَادِ اللَّهِ الصَّالِحِينَ فَإِذَا قُلْتُمْ ذَلِكَ فَقَدْ سَلَّمْتُمْ عَلَى كُلِّ عَبْدٍ فِي السَّمَوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ ثُمَّ يَتَخَيَّرُ بَعْدُ مِنْ الدُّعَاءِ مَا شَاءَ أَوْ مَا أَحَبَّ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Abu Sa'id told us, Za'idah told us, Mansur told us, from Shaqiq, from Abdullah, who said: "We used to, when we prayed behind the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say - a man among us would say in his prayer - 'Peace be upon Allah, peace be upon so-and-so,' naming someone specifically. So the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said to us one day: 'Indeed Allah, Mighty and Majestic, is al-Salam; so if one of you sits in his prayer, let him say: At-tahiyyatu lillahi wa-s-salawatu wa-t-tayyibat, Peace be upon you, O Prophet, and the mercy of Allah and His blessings, Peace be upon us and upon the righteous servants of Allah - for when you say that, you have greeted every servant in the heavens and the earth - I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and messenger. Then let him choose afterward whatever supplication he wishes, or whatever he likes.'"
