حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَنْ أَبِي الْأَحْوَصِ قَالَ كَانَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ يَقُولُ إِنَّ الْكَذِبَ لَا يَصْلُحُ مِنْهُ جِدٌّ وَلَا هَزْلٌ وَقَالَ عَفَّانُ مَرَّةً جِدٌّ وَلَا يَعِدُ الرَّجُلُ صَبِيًّا ثُمَّ لَا يُنْجِزُ لَهُ قَالَ وَإِنَّ مُحَمَّدًا قَالَ لَنَا لَا يَزَالُ الرَّجُلُ يَصْدُقُ حَتَّى يُكْتَبَ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ صِدِّيقًا وَلَا يَزَالُ الرَّجُلُ يَكْذِبُ حَتَّى يُكْتَبَ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ كَذَّابًا.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Affan told us, Shu'bah told us - Abu Ishaq informed us, from Abu al-Ahwas, who said: Abdullah used to say: "Lying is not proper in seriousness or in jest." And Affan said once: "in seriousness," "and let not a man promise a child something and then not fulfill it for him." He said: "And indeed Muhammad said to us: 'A man continues to speak the truth until he is recorded with Allah as truthful, and a man continues to lie until he is recorded with Allah as a liar.'"
