حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ إِسْرَائِيلَ بْنَ يُونُسَ عَنِ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ هِشَامٍ مَوْلَى الْهَمْدَانِيِّ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ زَائِدَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِأَصْحَابِهِ لَا يُبَلِّغْنِي أَحَدٌ عَنْ أَحَدٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِي شَيْئًا فَإِنِّي أُحِبُّ أَنْ أَخْرُجَ إِلَيْكُمْ وَأَنَا سَلِيمُ الصَّدْرِ قَالَ وَأَتَى رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَالٌ فَقَسَمَهُ قَالَ فَمَرَرْتُ بِرَجُلَيْنِ وَأَحَدُهُمَا يَقُولُ لِصَاحِبِهِ وَاللَّهِ مَا أَرَادَ مُحَمَّدٌ بِقِسْمَتِهِ وَجْهَ اللَّهِ وَلَا الدَّارَ الْآخِرَةَ فَتَثَبَّتُّ حَتَّى سَمِعْتُ مَا قَالَا ثُمَّ أَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّكَ قُلْتَ لَنَا لَا يُبَلِّغْنِي أَحَدٌ عَنْ أَحَدٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِي شَيْئًا وَإِنِّي مَرَرْتُ بِفُلَانٍ وَفُلَانٍ وَهُمَا يَقُولَانِ كَذَا وَكَذَا قَالَ فَاحْمَرَّ وَجْهُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَشَقَّ عَلَيْهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ دَعْنَا مِنْكَ فَقَدْ أُوذِيَ مُوسَى أَكْثَرَ مِنْ ذَلِكَ ثُمَّ صَبَرَ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Hajjaj told us: I heard Isra'il ibn Yunus, from al-Walid ibn Hisham, the freedman of al-Hamdani, from Zayd ibn Za'idah, from Abdullah ibn Mas'ud, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said to his companions: "Let no one convey to me anything about any of my companions, for I love to come out to you with a sound, untroubled heart." He said: Wealth came to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and he distributed it. He said: I passed by two men, one of whom was saying to his companion: "By Allah, Muhammad did not intend by this distribution the Face of Allah nor the abode of the Hereafter." So I stayed until I heard what they said, then I went to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and said: O Messenger of Allah, you said to us, "Let no one convey to me anything about any of my companions," yet I passed by so-and-so and so-and-so, and they were saying such and such. He said: The face of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, turned red and it distressed him, then he said: "Leave us be from you - Musa was harmed more than that, and yet he was patient."
