الترجمة الإنجليزية
Yazid told us: al-Mas’udi informed us, from Yahya ibn al-Harith al-Jabir, from Abu Majid, who said: A man came to Ibn Mas’ud with his nephew and said, "This is my nephew, and he has drunk wine." Abdullah said, "I know indeed that the first legal punishment established in Islam was for a woman who stole, and her hand was cut off, and the face of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, changed greatly at that; then he said, {And let them pardon and overlook; do you not love that Allah should forgive you? And Allah is Forgiving, Merciful}."
