الترجمة الإنجليزية
Waki’ told us, from al-Mas’udi, from Uthman al-Thaqafi — or al-Hasan ibn Sa’d, al-Mas’udi being uncertain — from Abdah al-Nahdi, from Abdullah ibn Mas’ud, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "Allah has never forbidden anything sacred but He knew that someone among you would transgress it. Behold, I am taking hold of your waist-belts lest you tumble into the Fire like moths tumbling into a flame" — or "flies." Abu Qatan told us: al-Mas’udi told us, from al-Hasan ibn Sa’d, from Abdah al-Nahdi, and mentioned it; and Yazid and Abu Kamil likewise said, from al-Hasan ibn Sa’d. Rawh said: al-Mas’udi told us: Abu al-Mughirah told us, from al-Hasan ibn Sa’d, and he said "moths or flies."
