Abu Mu’awiyah told us: al-A’mash told us, from Shaqiq, from Abdullah, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "Hold fast to truthfulness, for truthfulness leads to righteousness, and righteousness leads to Paradise. A man continues to be truthful and seeks out truthfulness until he is recorded with Allah, Mighty and Majestic, as truthful. And beware of lying, for lying leads to wickedness, and wickedness leads to the Fire. A man continues to lie and seeks out lying until he is recorded with Allah, Mighty and Majestic, as a liar."
