حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ قَالَ وَلَيْسَ مِنْهَا مَنْ يَقْدُمُهَا وَقُرِئَ عَلَى سُفْيَانَ سَمِعْتُ يَحْيَى الْجَابِرَ عَنْ أَبِي مَاجِدٍ الْحَنَفِيِّ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ يَقُولُ سَأَلْنَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ السَّيْرِ بِالْجِنَازَةِ فَقَالَ مَتْبُوعَةٌ وَلَيْسَتْ بِتَابِعَةٍ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Sufyan told us - and none of them precedes it - and it was read to Sufyan: I heard Yahya al-Jabir, from Abu Majid al-Hanafi, who said: I heard Abdullah say: "We asked the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, about walking with the funeral bier, and he said: 'It is to be followed, not to be preceded.'"
