حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ أَنْبَأَنَا ثَابِتٌ وَحَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي هِلَالٌ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَبِيتُ اللَّيَالِيَ قَالَ عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ الْمُتَتَابِعَةَ طَاوِيًا وَأَهْلُهُ لَا يَجِدُونَ عَشَاءً وَكَانَ عَامَّةُ خُبْزِهِمْ خُبْزَ الشَّعِيرِ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Abd al-Samad informed us - Thabit and Hasan ibn Musa told us, Thabit told us - he said: Hilal told me, from Ikrimah, from Ibn Abbas, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, used to spend consecutive nights - Abd al-Samad said "consecutive" - hungry, with his family finding no evening meal, most of their bread being barley bread.
