Rawh told us: Hammad told us, from Humayd, from Bakr ibn Abdillah, that a bedouin said to Ibn Abbas: "What is the matter with the family of Mu'awiyah, that they give people water and honey to drink, and the family of so-and-so give milk to drink, while you give nabidh to drink? Is it out of stinginess, or need?" Ibn Abbas said: "There is neither stinginess nor need on our part. Rather, the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, came to us with Usamah ibn Zayd riding behind him, and he asked for drink, so we gave him drink from this" - meaning the nabidh of the Siqayah - "and he drank from it and said: 'You have done well; do just as this.'"
