Uthman ibn Umar narrated to us, he said: Yunus, meaning Ibn Yazid al-Ayli, narrated to us, he said: Abu Shaddad narrated to us, from Mujahid, from Asma' bint Umays, who said: I was the one who prepared Aisha and brought her to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), along with some women. She said: By Allah, we found nothing at his place to offer as hospitality except a cup of milk. He drank from it, then handed it to Aisha. The girl was shy, so we said: "Do not refuse the hand of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). Take it." She took it shyly and drank from it. Then he said: "Pass it to your companions." We said: "We do not desire it." He said: "Do not combine hunger and lying." She said: I said, "O Messenger of Allah, if one of us says about something she desires, 'I do not desire it,' is that considered a lie?" He said: "A lie is recorded as a lie, even a small lie is recorded as a small lie."
