حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ عَنْ أَبِي النَّضْرِ عَنْ خَارِجَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ عَنْ أُمِّهِ قَالَتْ إِنَّ عُثْمَانَ بْنَ مَظْعُونٍ لَمَّا قُبِضَ قَالَتْ أُمُّ خَارِجَةَ بِنْتُ زَيْدٍ طِبْتَ أَبَا السَّائِبِ خَيْرُ أَيَّامِكَ الْخَيْرُ فَسَمِعَهَا نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ مَنْ هَذِهِ قَالَتْ أَنَا قَالَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَمَا يُدْرِيكِ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ عُثْمَانُ بْنُ مَظْعُونٍ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَجَلْ عُثْمَانُ بْنُ مَظْعُونٍ مَا رَأَيْنَا إِلَّا خَيْرًا وَهَذَا أَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ وَاللَّهِ مَا أَدْرِي مَا يُصْنَعُ بِي.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Yunus ibn Muhammad narrated to us, Layth ibn Sa'd narrated to us, Yazid ibn Abi Habib narrated to us, from Abu al-Nadr, from Kharijah ibn Zayd, from his mother, who said: When Uthman ibn Maz'un died, the mother of Kharijah bint Zayd said: "You have attained goodness, O Abu al-Sa'ib; the best of your days is this good." The Prophet of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) heard her and said: "Who is this?" She said: "It is me." He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "How do you know?" I said: "O Messenger of Allah, it is Uthman ibn Maz'un!" The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Indeed, Uthman ibn Maz'un - we have only seen good from him. But I am the Messenger of Allah, and by Allah, I do not know what will be done with me."
