Yunus ibn Muhammad told us, he said Hammad - meaning Ibn Salamah - told us, from Dawud ibn Abi Hind, from al-Sha'bi, from Fatimah bint Qays, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, came one day in haste and ascended the pulpit, and it was announced among the people, "The prayer is to be held in congregation," and the people gathered. He said, "O people, I did not summon you for any desire nor for any fear, but Tamim al-Dari informed me that a group of people from the people of Palestine sailed the sea, and the wind cast them onto an island among the islands of the sea. There they encountered a hairy creature, and it could not be told whether it was male or female due to the abundance of its hair. They said, 'Who are you?' It said, 'I am the Jassasah.' They said, 'Then tell us.' It said, 'I will not tell you anything nor ask you anything, but in this monastery there is a man eager to tell you and to ask you.' So they entered the monastery, and there was a one-eyed man, shackled in iron. He said, 'Who are you?' They said, 'We are Arabs.' He said, 'Has the Prophet been sent among you?' They said, 'Yes.' He said, 'Have the Arabs followed him?' They said, 'Yes.' He said, 'That is better for them.' He said, 'What has become of Persia? Has he prevailed over it?' They said, 'No.' He said, 'Indeed, he will prevail over it.' Then he said, 'What has become of the spring of Zughar?' They said, 'It flows brimming full.' He said, 'What has become of the palm trees of Baysan? Have they borne fruit?' They said, 'Yes, their early crop.' He then leapt up with a leap such that we thought he would escape, so we said, 'Who are you?' He said, 'I am the Dajjal. I shall tread upon the whole earth except Mecca and Tayyibah.'" The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "Rejoice, O community of Muslims - this is Tayyibah, which he will not enter."
