حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ الْمُفَضَّلِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ أُمِّهِ أُمِّ كُلْثُومٍ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ لَيْسَ الْكَاذِبُ بِأَنْ يَقُولَ الرَّجُلُ فِي إِصْلَاحِ مَا بَيْنَ النَّاسِ.

Bishr ibn al-Mufaddal told us, he said: Abd al-Rahman ibn Ishaq told us, from al-Zuhri, from Humayd ibn Abd al-Rahman, from his mother Umm Kulthum, from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), that he said: "The liar is not one who speaks words to reconcile between people."
