حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو قَطَنٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنِ الْعَيْزَارِ بْنِ حُرَيْثٍ عَنْ أُمِّ الْحُصَيْنِ الْأَحْمَسِيَّةِ قَالَتْ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ يَخْطُبُ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ عَلَيْهِ بُرْدٌ لَهُ قَدْ الْتَفَعَ بِهِ مِنْ تَحْتِ إِبْطِهِ قَالَتْ فَأَنَا أَنْظُرُ إِلَى عَضَلَةِ عَضُدِهِ تَرْتَجُّ فَسَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَإِنْ أُمِّرَ عَلَيْكُمْ عَبْدٌ حَبَشِيٌّ مُجَدَّعٌ فَاسْمَعُوا لَهُ وَأَطِيعُوا مَا أَقَامَ فِيكُمْ كِتَابَ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Abu Qatan told us, he said: Yunus — meaning Ibn Abi Ishaq — told us, from al-Ayzar ibn Hurayth, from Umm al-Husayn al-Ahmasiyyah, she said: "I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) during the Farewell Pilgrimage delivering a sermon on the pulpit, wearing a cloak of his which he had wrapped around himself from under his armpit." She said: "And I was looking at the muscle of his upper arm quivering, and I heard him say: 'O people, fear Allah, and even if a mutilated Abyssinian slave is placed in authority over you, listen to him and obey, so long as he maintains among you the Book of Allah, Mighty and Sublime.'"
