حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ بْنُ زِيَادٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ ذَكْوَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَتْنِي رُبَيِّعُ بِنْتُ مُعَوِّذٍ قَالَتْ بَعَثَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي قُرَى الْأَنْصَارِ قَالَ مَنْ كَانَ مِنْكُمْ صَائِمًا فَلْيُتِمَّ صَوْمَهُ وَمَنْ كَانَ أَكَلَ فَلْيَصُمْ بَقِيَّةَ يَوْمِهِ.

'Affan narrated to us, he said: 'Abd al-Wahid ibn Ziyad narrated to us, he said: Khalid ibn Dhakwan narrated to us, he said: Rubayyi' bint Mu'awwidh narrated to me, she said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, sent word to the villages of the Ansar, saying: Whoever among you is fasting, let him complete his fast, and whoever has eaten, let him fast the rest of his day.
