حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ أَنَّ أَسْمَاءَ قَالَتْ كُنْتُ أَخْدُمُ الزُّبَيْرَ زَوْجَهَا وَكَانَ لَهُ فَرَسٌ كُنْتُ أَسُوسُهُ وَلَمْ يَكُنْ شَيْءٌ مِنْ الْخِدْمَةِ أَشَدَّ عَلَيَّ مِنْ سِيَاسَةِ الْفَرَسِ فَكُنْتُ أَحْتَشُّ لَهُ وَأَقُومُ عَلَيْهِ وَأَسُوسُهُ وَأَرْضَخُ لَهُ النَّوَى قَالَ ثُمَّ إِنَّهَا أَصَابَتْ خَادِمًا أَعْطَاهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَتْ فَكَفَتْنِي سِيَاسَةَ الْفَرَسِ فَأَلْقَتْ عَنِّي مَئُونَتَهُ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Affan told us: Hammad b. Yazid told us, from Ayyub, from Ibn Abi Mulaykah, that Asma' said: I used to serve al-Zubayr, my husband, and he had a horse that I used to groom; and nothing of the service was harder for me than the grooming of the horse. I would gather fodder for it, tend to it and groom it, and crush the date-stones for it. He said: Then she acquired a servant whom the Messenger of God (peace and blessings be upon him) had given her. She said: He spared me the grooming of the horse and lifted its burden from me.
