حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي زِيَادٍ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ صَلَاةِ الضُّحَى فَقَالَ أَدْرَكْتُ أَصْحَابَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُمْ مُتَوَافِرُونَ فَمَا حَدَّثَنِي أَحَدٌ مِنْهُمْ أَنَّهُ رَأَى رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي الضُّحَى غَيْرَ أُمِّ هَانِئٍ فَإِنَّهَا قَالَتْ دَخَلَ عَلَيَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَ الْفَتْحِ يَوْمَ جُمُعَةٍ فَاغْتَسَلَ ثُمَّ صَلَّى ثَمَانِيَ رَكَعَاتٍ.

Muhammad b. Ja'far told us: Shu'bah told us, from Yazid b. Abi Ziyad, who said: I asked Abd Allah b. al-Harith about the duha prayer. He said: I met the Companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) when they were numerous, and none of them told me that he saw the Messenger of God (peace and blessings be upon him) pray the duha prayer except Umm Hani'; for she said, 'The Messenger of God (peace and blessings be upon him) came in to me on the Day of the Conquest, a Friday, and washed, then prayed eight rak'ahs.'
