حَدَّثَنَا زيدُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ عَنِ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي مُرَّةَ مَوْلَى عَقِيلِ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ عَنْ فَاخِتَةَ أُمِّ هَانِئٍ قَالَتْ لَمَّا كَانَ يَوْمُ فَتْحِ مَكَّةَ أَجَرْتُ حَمْوَيْنِ لِي مِنْ الْمُشْرِكِينَ إِذْ طَلَعَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَعَلَيْهِ رَهْجَةُ الْغُبَارِ فِي مِلْحَفَةٍ مُتَوَشِّحًا بِهَا فَلَمَّا رَآنِي قَالَ مَرْحَبًا بِفَاخِتَةَ أُمِّ هَانِئٍ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَجَرْتُ حَمْوَيْنِ لِي مِنْ الْمُشْرِكِينَ فَقَالَ قَدْ أَجَرْنَا مَنْ أَجَرْتِ وَأَمَّنَّا مَنْ أَمَّنْتِ ثُمَّ أَمَرَ فَاطِمَةَ فَسَكَبَتْ لَهُ مَاءً فَتَغَسَّلَ بِهِ فَصَلَّى ثَمَانِ رَكَعَاتٍ فِي الثَّوْبِ مُتَلَبِّبًا بِهِ وَذَلِكَ يَوْمَ فَتْحِ مَكَّةَ ضُحًى.

Zayd b. al-Hubab told us, from Ibn Abi Dhi'b, from al-Maqburi, from Abu Murrah, the freedman of Aqil b. Abi Talib, from Fakhitah Umm Hani', who said: On the Day of the Conquest of Makkah, I granted protection to two brothers-in-law of mine from among the polytheists. Then the Messenger of God (peace and blessings be upon him) appeared, with the dust of travel upon him, wrapped in a cloak. When he saw me he said, 'Welcome, Fakhitah Umm Hani'.' I said, 'O Messenger of God, I have granted protection to two brothers-in-law of mine from among the polytheists.' He said, 'We grant protection to whomever you have protected, and we grant safe conduct to whomever you have granted safe conduct.' Then he ordered Fatimah, and she poured water for him, and he washed with it, then he prayed eight rak'ahs in the same garment, wrapped in it — and that was on the Day of the Conquest of Makkah, in the forenoon.
