حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ وَأَبُو عَامِرٍ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عَقِيلٍ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ وَعَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ عَنْ مَيْمُونَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ لَا تَنْبِذُوا فِي الدُّبَّاءِ وَلَا فِي الْمُزَفَّتِ وَلَا فِي الْحَنْتَمِ وَلَا فِي النَّقِيرِ قَالَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ وَلَا فِي الْجِرَارِ وَكُلُّ مُسْكِرٍ حَرَامٌ.

'Abd al-Rahman bin Mahdi and Abu 'Amir told us, they said: Zuhayr - meaning Ibn Muhammad - told us, from 'Abdullah bin Muhammad - meaning Ibn 'Aqil - from al-Qasim bin Muhammad, from 'A'ishah and 'Ata' bin Yasar, from Maymunah, the wife of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, that he said: "Do not make nabidh in the gourd vessel, nor in the tarred vessel, nor in the green jar, nor in the hollowed tree-trunk." 'Abd al-Rahman said: "nor in the clay jar, and every intoxicant is forbidden."
