حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ مَوْلَى الصَّهْبَاءِ عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ { وَلَا يَعْصِينَكَ فِي مَعْرُوفٍ } قَالَ النَّوْحُ.

Waki' told us: Yazid b. Abdullah, the freed slave of al-Sahba', told us, from Shahr b. Hawshab, from Umm Salamah, from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, concerning "and not disobey you in anything right": he said, "It means wailing over the dead."
