Uthman b. Umar told us: Yunus informed us, from al-Zuhri, who said: Hind bint al-Harith al-Qurashiyyah told me that Umm Salamah, the wife of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, informed her that in the time of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, when he gave the closing salutation of the obligatory prayer, the women would get up and leave, while the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, remained seated, and the men who had prayed remained seated for as long as Allah willed; then when the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, got up, the men would get up.
