حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عُقَيْلٌ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ أَنَّهُ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو عُبَيْدَةَ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ زَمْعَةَ أَنَّ أُمَّهُ زَيْنَبَ ابْنَةَ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ أَخْبَرَتْهُ أَنَّ أُمَّهَا أُمَّ سَلَمَةَ زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَتْ تَقُولُ أَبَى سَائِرُ أَزْوَاجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ يُدْخِلْنَ عَلَيْهِنَّ أَحَدًا بِتِلْكَ الرَّضَاعَةِ وَقُلْنَ لِعَائِشَةَ وَاللَّهِ مَا نُرَى هَذَا إِلَّا رُخْصَةً أَرْخَصَهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِسَالِمٍ خَاصَّةً فَمَا هُوَ بِدَاخِلٍ عَلَيْنَا أَحَدٌ بِهَذِهِ الرَّضَاعَةِ وَلَا رَائِينَا.

Narrated to us by Hajjaj, who said: Layth narrated to us, who said: 'Uqayl narrated to us, from Ibn Shihab, who said: Abu 'Ubaydah ibn Abdullah ibn Zam'ah informed me that his mother Zaynab bint Abi Salamah informed him that her mother, Umm Salamah, wife of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), used to say: "The rest of the Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) wives refused to allow anyone in to them on the basis of that breastfeeding, and they said to A'ishah, 'By Allah, we see this as nothing but a concession that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) granted specifically to Salim, so no one shall be allowed in to us on the basis of this breastfeeding, nor shall we be seen unveiled before them.'"
