قَالَ قَرَأْتُ عَلَى عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ مَهْدِيٍّ مَالِكٌ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنْ صَفِيَّةَ بِنْتِ أَبِي عُبَيْدٍ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أَوْ حَفْصَةَ أُمِّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَا يَحِلُّ لِامْرَأَةٍ تُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ أَنْ تُحِدَّ عَلَى مَيِّتٍ فَوْقَ ثَلَاثٍ إِلَّا عَلَى زَوْجٍ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
He said: I read to 'Abd al-Rahman b. Mahdi: Malik, from Nafi', from Safiyyah bint Abi 'Ubayd, from 'A'ishah or Hafsah, Mother of the Believers, that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "It is not lawful for a woman who believes in Allah and the Last Day to mourn for a deceased person for more than three days, except for a husband."
