حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الزُّهْرِيُّ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَا يَحِلُّ لِامْرَأَةٍ تُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ أَنْ تُحِدَّ فَوْقَ ثَلَاثَةِ أَيَّامٍ إِلَّا عَلَى زَوْجِهَا.

Abd al-Samad told us: Sulayman ibn Kathir told us: al-Zuhri told us, from Urwah, from Aisha, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: It is not lawful for a woman who believes in Allah and the Last Day to mourn in seclusion for more than three days, except for her husband.
