حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا بِشْرٍ يُحَدِّثُ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ سَعِيدَ بْنَ جُبَيْرٍ يُحَدِّثُ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ يُحَدِّثُ أَنَّ رَجُلًا أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ مُحْرِمٌ فَوَقَعَ مِنْ نَاقَتِهِ فَأَوْقَصَتْهُ فَأَمَرَ بِهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ يُغْسَلَ بِمَاءٍ وَسِدْرٍ وَأَنْ يُكَفَّنَ فِي ثَوْبَيْنِ وَقَالَ لَا تَمَسُّوهُ بِطِيبٍ خَارِجَ رَأْسِهِ قَالَ شُعْبَةُ ثُمَّ إِنَّهُ حَدَّثَنِي بِهِ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ فَقَالَ خَارِجَ رَأْسِهِ أَوْ وَجْهِهِ فَإِنَّهُ يُبْعَثُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مُلَبِّدًا.

A man came to the Prophet (peace be upon him) while he was in ihram and fell from his she-camel, which broke his neck. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) ordered that he be washed with water and lote leaves, shrouded in two garments, and said: 'Do not apply perfume to him — keeping his head (or face) uncovered' — Shu'bah said: then he narrated it to me afterward and said: 'keeping his head or his face uncovered, for he will be resurrected on the Day of Resurrection with matted hair (mulabbadan).'
