حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي عَنْ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَتْ مَرَّتْ بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْحَوْلَاءُ بِنْتُ تُوَيْتٍ فَقِيلَ لَهُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّهَا تُصَلِّي بِاللَّيْلِ صَلَاةً كَثِيرَةً فَإِذَا غَلَبَهَا النَّوْمُ ارْتَبَطَتْ بِحَبْلٍ فَتَعَلَّقَتْ بِهِ قَالَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَلْتُصَلِّ مَا قَوِيَتْ عَلَى الصَّلَاةِ فَإِذَا نَعَسَتْ فَلْتَنَمْ.

Ya'qub narrated to us, he said: My father narrated to us, from Ibn Ishaq, who said: Hisham ibn Urwa narrated to me, from his father, from Aisha, wife of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, who said: Al-Hawla' bint Tuwayt passed by the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, and it was said to him, "O Messenger of God, she prays a great deal at night, and when sleep overcomes her, she ties herself with a rope and holds onto it." The Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "Let her pray as much as she is able to pray, and when she becomes drowsy, let her sleep."
