حَدَّثَنَا أَزْهَرُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ زُرَارَةَ بْنِ أَوْفَى عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ هِشَامٍ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ إِذَا أَوْتَرَ صَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ وَهُوَ جَالِسٌ.

Azhar ibn al-Qasim told us, Hisham told us, from Qatada, from Zurara ibn Awfa, from Sa’d ibn Hisham, from Aisha, that the Prophet of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, when he prayed Witr, would pray two rak’ahs while sitting.
