Aisha reported: A man came to the Prophet (peace be upon him) asking him a question, and I was listening from behind the door. He said: "O Messenger of Allah, I am destroyed." He said: "What has destroyed you?" He said: "I had intercourse with my wife during Ramadan while fasting." He said: "Can you free a slave?" He said: "No." He said: "Can you fast two consecutive months?" He said: "No." He said: "Can you feed sixty poor people?" He said: "No." Then the Prophet sat down. A basket of dates was brought to the Prophet. He said: "Give it in charity." He said: "O Messenger of Allah, is there anyone poorer than us?" The Prophet laughed until his canine teeth were visible and said: "Go and feed your family."
