حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ ذُكِرَ لَهَا حَدِيثُ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ الْمَيِّتَ يُعَذَّبُ بِبُكَاءِ الْحَيِّ قَالَتْ وَهِلَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ كَمَا وَهِلَ يَوْمَ قَلِيبِ بَدْرٍ إِنَّمَا قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّهُ لَيُعَذَّبُ وَأَهْلُهُ يَبْكُونَ عَلَيْهِ يَعْنِي الْكَافِرَ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Aisha reported: When she was told the hadith of Ibn Umar that the dead are punished by the weeping of the living, she said: "Abu Abd al-Rahman (Ibn Umar) was mistaken, just as he was mistaken on the day of the well of Badr. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) only said: 'He is being punished while his family weeps over him' — meaning the disbeliever."
