Yahya ibn Sa'id narrated from Isma'il, meaning Ibn Abi Khalid, he said: Amir narrated to us from Masruq, who said: I asked Aisha - he said, I said: 'There is a man here who sends his sacrificial animal to the Ka'bah, and orders whoever drives it for him, one whom he has appointed and instructed, to place a garland on it, while he himself remains in ihram until the people finish their rites.' She clapped her hands from behind the veil, saying: 'I used to twist the garlands of the sacrificial animals for the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and he would send his sacrificial animal, yet nothing that is forbidden to a man regarding his family was forbidden to him, until the people returned.'
